Format: Paperback
It's a biography about a man who grew up in North Carolina and Tennessee during the 1930s and 40s. He happened to be Cherokee, but you would never know if hadn't told you. The main message seems to be, "Indians aren't all that different from anyone else in the same circumstances." This book would be helpful for anyone who has bought into Indian stereotypes. The problem is it just isn't very interesting.
