Fox Forever, in my opinion, is a very exciting and thrilling book. It was a book I couldn't put down, and as I read further and further into the story, the plot and storyline became more interesting. Each chapter led to something new and sometimes unexpected. This book definitely kept me on my toes. I gave it five stars for the quality and just everything about it. It was a wonderful book and I would read over again. In my eyes, I view Fox Forever as the best book out of the Jenna Fox Chronicles. Now I am a reader who always says that the first book is always the best; none of the others could surpass the first one and soon on and so forth. But! I declare that even though The Adoration of Jenna Fox and Fox Inheritance were amazing books, I must say there was something different about Fox Forever that just stood out to me. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves to read books that are thrilling and surprising. I would also recommend Fox Forever for those who have read the first two books. But if you don't read the first two books in the series, Fox Forever will probably confuse you in many ways. So read this amazing series and hopefully you will love it as much as I do!!! Hope this helps you!

After immersing myself in the Jenna Fox Chronicles, and reading what was one of my favorite series of all time, all I can say is "wow". I loved this series! I never expected to like it as much as I did, considering that there is a sci-fi element to the story, but I fell in love with the story and the characters and I'm sad to leave them behind.

I've never read anything quite like this series before. The premise is so unique, and the thought that Locke and Kara's minds were trapped inside computers is hauntingly realistic and terrifying. It made me interested in the story from the very beginning and I just had to know what was going to happen once Locke and Kara got their bodies back. Book one, The Adoration of Jenna Fox, is told from Jenna's perspective, and books two and three are told from Locke's perspective. I didn't think I could like Locke's voice more than Jenna's, but I did. He was a very likable character, so steady and loyal. I loved watching him grow throughout the series.

Fox Forever is the perfect ending to an awesome series. I love that the books span a long time period, which gives them a lot of depth and intensity. The ending was bittersweet, and Pearson managed to really surprise me with the epilogue. I love a good epilogue, and this one was perfect. So sweet and I loved getting a last glimpse of my favorite characters.

I highly recommend this series to fans of dystopia, sci-fi and YA. It's excellent, and I can't wait to see what Mary Pearson comes up with next!

Not to be too punny right off the bat here, but I adored The Adoration of Jenna Fox, which is the first book in Mary E. Pearson's Jenna Fox Chronicles. It was lyrical and poetic and I didn't love the sequel The Fox Inheritance quite as much because I missed all of that.

But happily, this book, Fox Forever, got me past all of that.

Now, here's the thing: I knew to adjust my expectations with Fox Forever. I didn't have to lower them, but after the last one, I suspected that it wouldn't be chock full of the lyrical prose of Adoration. It's still an excellent book: it's full of swoony moments and some high quality action.

There's also a kind of spy conflict here- you know the type. The "I can't reveal my secret mission but I have the FEELINGS" kind. As I've expressed on my blog time and time again, I love spy novels so that element made me very happy.

Jenna isn't the main character of this novel- really not even this series anymore, so the inclusion of her name in the titles and series is a little misleading, but Locke took over in the last book and I really enjoyed getting to know him.

Overall, Fox Forever was a fast and fun read and brought Mary E. Pearson's Jenna Fox Chronicles to a very satisfying conclusion.

Spoiler-free review. I liked the way this story wrapped up. I preferred the first book in the series, because I liked the central character's voice in that book, so I missed her when the story shifted so heavily to another character. But in this book, I got to hear more about my favorite character and the resolution for her made sense (and was beautifully written, too.)

Mary E. Pearson's imaginative Fox trilogy has come to an end. What began in The Adoration of Jenna Fox and continued in The Fox Inheritance concludes in this third volume, aptly titled1 Fox Forever. This final chapter in the story feels like a continuation of book two, which was also told from Locke's POV. When Locke is told he must do a Favor (with a capital F), he is drawn into a movement that is both political and personal. Far away from the people he trusts, working alongside people he doesn't yet know, it would be easy for him to retreat into himself or openly rebel against orders, but as the story develops and he realizes what's really at stake, he becomes determined to see things through.

One of my favorite exchanges of dialogue appears on page 237. When Locke asks Jenna if she's ever gotten used to "not being who you once were, not being like everyone else," she simply replies, "Being like everyone else is highly overrated." Yes, it is, Jenna. Yes, it is.

Another favorite moment comes when Locke is among the lower-class Non-pacts, who are making the most of what they have, combining ingredients to make a meal for everyone, enjoying their life and their community despite their hardships. At one point, Locke observes an unnamed girl: "A younger woman stands near the fire in the middle, telling a story to a few who are close by, her hands expressive, chopping the air with punctuation and passion."

As with the volume which preceded it, Fox Forever offers action, intrigue, and even romance while Locke navigates through darkened passages, watches a rooftop, a ladder, and a girl, and encounters old friends, new allies, a variety of bots, low-class citizens fighting for freedom, and corrupt figures bloated by power.Read more ›
