This book was well-written and interesting. I recommend it to all, even those who may not often read art history books. It's also part biography about an artist and those who recognized her talent. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

This book is a small book and the images of Hunters paintings are so tiny they don't really let you experience Hunters work as well as if they were in a larger format.

Clementine Hunter and her depictions of Plantation life through her paintings are unbelievable. She was definitely an artist before her time.
