Great little board book! I love the little butterfly finger puppet. The story itself is a tad boring, but it's easy to just make up a new one - the butterfly is all that my daughter is interested in anyway. Highly recommend the entire series!

I bought this book for my 15 month old daugther who likes butterflies. At 15 months, she did not really enjoy this book/toy - the fact that I would wiggle the butterfly with my finger did not entertain her for long. However, now at 2 years of age, she seems to enjoy it a little more as she can try to wiggle it herself. The book seems sturdy. The text is okay but I think the pictures are a little too similar to eachother and too abstract for my 2 year old to enjoy much.

I read stories to my 6-month-old daughter every day. I read her all kinds but this is the only story that actually captures her attention and holds it through the story. She loves to reach out and grab the "butterfly" and she gets excited as the story progresses. The colors are bright and it is not a wordy story. I got this as a baby shower gift and now want to buy the whole set! Highly recommended. Plus, the book is tough. She likes to gnaw on the corner and it hasn't even warped in the slightest.

This is a charming little book, poetic and visually arresting. My newborn daughter is enchanted by the puppet and its colorful backdrops, and I like reading the simple rhyming lines of a caterpillar who becomes, well, a butterfly. Predictable, yes, but unusually well-written for a boardbook.

My daughter received this book when she was 9 mos. old. She is now 14 mos old and we own 6 of them. She loves the animals and now she has them figured out and moves the puppets herself. The story line is simple, sweet, and it rhymes.

This is my favorite infant series. I have all of the insects and although they are similar each one hold my son's attention. The simple rhymes are written well enough that I don't mind reading them over and over again.
