From School Library Journal
Gr 5 Up-An easy introduction to the causes and cures of acne that dispels common folklore and myths surrounding this skin condition. Technical, medical, and anatomical terms are competently and coherently explained. Information on current medical treatment is comprehensive, addressing the drawbacks and benefits of each option. Good health habits are neatly conveyed. While the book is concise and has enough information for reports, it is neither attractive nor inviting to browsing teens. There are few color photographs and none of the pictures are particularly informative. An average presentation, for purchase where needed.-Jane Halsall, McHenry Public Library District, IL
