It took me a week end to finish this brilliant presentation of our current world diplomatic, economic and military objectives. It's not that I couldn't read it in one sitting, because it is very accessible; it's that it's too painful to read in one sitting. I've watched the news and have followed current events, so I am aware of many of the affiliations President Obama has cultivated. Much of it made little sense to me. Herschensohn's book provides the missing links to understanding Obama's often down right insulting behaviors to our allies. Allies like Great Britain (with whom, for example, Obama maintains we have "no special relationship") or Israel's land which Obama steadfastly refers to as holding the "occupied territories". Herschensohn's answers are alarming but essential information. As he skillfully unfolds Obama's foreign policy, in total, the situation changes from alarming to dire. Herschensohn connects the dots in a way that is obvious to anyone who would take the time to read this powerful book, which reads like a breeze. Herschensohn does NOT draw the conclusion, but because he doesn't and the reader has to get there himself, the book becomes an even more vital instrument as a teaching tool.

I believe it is important that every American read this book; particularly our high school and college students. Many people do not have the time to get all the information they have a completely informed vote. This book will be quick primer and for this reason I cannot recommend it strongly enough. Draw your own conclusions and search your soul for the honest answer. The book is worth every penny, and you will not be disappointed!

This book should be of interest to all American's who are eligible to vote.

It was written in 2012, in time for the presidential election. Mr. Herschenson is an experienced man in foreign affairs going back decades to President Nixon, who opened up relations with China, and represented the US well overseas.

The US for many years was the heart of NATO and worked to keep the countries of the world as free as possible, so that their citizens could have freedom and control their own destiny. Unfortunately, President Obama has a different approach to foreign affairs, and wants to make up with countries who have not liked us in the past and to do this, has cooled relations with past faithful allies. For example, sending back the bust of Churchill immediately after her took office to the British embassy sent a message that Obama did not consider the UK a special friend as they had been for many, many years. President Bush had agreements with Poland and the Czech republic to host a Anti Ballistic Missile system and radar that could provide coverage of Iran. these agreements cost the governments of the countries some political capital. Obama unilaterally cancelled both agreements for undefined reasons, apparently to make Iran and Russia happy, as Russia thought that the missile system with about 10 missiles could be used against them.

I found this book upsetting in places, as it concentrates all of the betrayals of our foreign allies in one place.

This is the most concise and informative book on how Obama has changed the way the world views the U.S. Not only are we perceived as weak and ineffective by our enemies, but our allies are not secure in knowing that we will stand behind them. Mr. Herschensohn obviously understands how the world works. Everyone should read this book before you vote. Outstanding!

Fascinating and illuminating history and current events of different aspects of foreign policy and the presidency. Goes into the specifics of Obama's time in office and the effect it is having on the U.S. role in international events. I was more impressed with Herschensohn's knowledge of history and politics than anything else. I had the impression that Obama had damaged the U.S. in foreign policy, but this puts facts out there to substantiate the impression. Worth reading just for the historical insights it gives.

The author had really did a great job of telling how Obama has failed at home and overseas with every one of his policies, he keeps no secrets about what he is going to do and allow the unfriendly forces to be ready.

A well researched and frightening look into the current trend in foreign policy of America. For a layperson like myself it was very eye opening to understand the political basis of what seems to be a consistent direction towards betrayal of our country's core foundation and strength. I do not understand the basis of our current presidents actions but they seem to be naive at best, and nefarious at worst. One can only hope that too much damage isn't done before it is too late.
