I can't say enough good about this book. It's not just for people with grown children or children who are away from God. There is a great lesson for all of us parents in this book. Not just that, but if you are a Christian we all need to have these things down in order to truly draw others to Christ. The only thing that I really hate about this book, is that it is not the KJ version. I know that the KJ is THE only inspired word of God and I never recommend a book unless it's the right version, but there is so much to be learned in this book that I do recommend it.

I agree that the problem of adult children placing God after other earthly ambitions is a problem all Christians should be concerned with. The book appropriately outlines methods by which parents of adult children can use to influence their child to place God at the center of their lives. One difficulty with the book is that some of the methods seem to presuppose that the adult child is already Christian or so easily willing to abandon their post-modern ideologies and beliefs prevalent in their generation.
