The author of this textbook does a good job of explaining things clearly and making the material interesting. Texts aren't always the most engaging reading material, but Dunford and Doyle present topics in a way that isn't as dull as some are.

I bought the Kindle version of this book for a Sports Nutrition class I was taking in my Dietetics program. Compared to buying this at the University book store I found that I could own it from Amazon cheaper than if I wanted to rent it from the book store. Some of the material can be dry but it is well written. If you are the type of learner that gets a lot from reading the book then I think that this is a great book for that. For learners that get more from lecture I found the search function to be helpful when needing quick answers and references. It was a good buy for the price.

This book is very helpful. It has good information without being too dry. It is an easy read but still gives an in depth look at the different aspects of nutrition and how that affects those who are physically active. I'll probably hang on to it for a long time.
