I am reviewing this in advance of it being delivered. My mom and grandmother used to take me to some of these restaurants when I was young. My favorite always though was Joe Huie's Cafe and his fried shrimp. I can remember so many over the years in Duluth MN claiming to have Joe's secret fried shrimp recipe. As a kid I remember having to stand in line with my mom just to get in the door, his food was so well known.

I now live and have lived in Vermont since 1987 and over the years many times would scour the internet for Joe Huie's secret fried shrimp recipe. Last year I was thrilled to come accross one of the Cafe's menues on Ebay, in new condition and purchased that. In just the last few days I again searched the internet for his shrimp recipe and could not believe this great book came out with not only Joe's recipe but many others from other great places to eat. What a feeling just to read the little I did that was available. Brought back my childhood and I can still remember those incredible flavors.

I ordered my book to be delivered overnight :o) And I have been putting out this information all over, including Facebook. From many pages about Duluth and MN on Facebook alone I know it will bring back many great memories! Thank you to the authors! Laura Curtiss Palmer
