This is a wonderful little book. This is a book of daily meditations that reflect on calmness and serenity. The meditations are not predictable sayings and quotes. They are clear-cut applications you can use in your daily life. I usually find these types of books attempting to transform the reader into something other than themselves. This book is different. It teaches simple rules to living. You can actually apply these meditations. It's like a workbook and meditation guide in one. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a quiet refuge from the struggles of daily living.

I read a section of this book each and every morning. It isn't just for people with a " chemically dependent ". Maybe more just a deapendancy or just going through really tough times. This is the most inspiring book that helps you get through those times. This is a book you get one for you and one to pass along to a really great friend.

i use this book as part of a daily meditation reading as part of my recovery from overeating. It's messages have helped me become aware of myself in ways I never understood. I'd recommend it as a daily read for anyone in recovery of any kind.
