Marie Neurath's essay, which is the bulk of this little book, is very personal and there are some good insights. But it's also meandering and badly organized, and would have needed some editing and more context. It's a good starting point to learn a bit about the thinking and the people behind ISOTYPE, but it mostly adds color rather than a lot of depth. It's a quick read though, so if you're looking for a brief introduction with many great example pictures, this is good. The pictures are a tad small though at times (due to the small format of the book).
