The Wise Learn To Read series (Volumes I to V) enables a parent or educator to easily teach a child to read at a first grade reading level; even one who has not yet learned the alphabet. The first reader 'Bees' will give most 4 and 5 year old children the experience of reading their first book within 15 minutes; leaving them with a feeling of achievement. Each book builds on the previous one and by book 20 the child will be ready to start reading at a second grade level. Book 1, Bees, starts by introducing a cartoon bee next to the big letter B and the letter I next to a cartoon eye. As the book progresses, letters are put next to each other to form words and the pictures are slowly removed until the child is only reading the words. The pictures are like training wheels for words and at the end of the book the child is reading! The experience is easy and magical. For over 30 years parents, educators and children are delighted by children's ability to read with this series. Have fun!

Dr. Francis H. Wise was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Falls City, Oregon. When he was a child he saw a man with many degrees after his name and said to himself: “I want to have lots of initials after my name when I grow up.” This moment began a life of education and learning for the young boy. He attained a Doctorate of Philosophy, a Doctorate of Divinity, Master’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in History. He attended: Willamette University, Oregon College of Education, Oregon State University, Harvard University, Union Theological Seminary, Oberlin Theological Seminary, University of the Philippines at Manila, University of Southern California, University of California, Los Angeles, and University of Illinois. Dr. Wise had a passion for education, family and children. He was in private practice in the Los Angeles area as a family & child psychologist for over thirty-five years.
