Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this book in 2004, and it was already outdated then. There is little in it that you could not glean from websites or thinking through the issues in being a contract lawyer. That is, assuming you could get hired as one post 2008.

Since that time the large law firm sector (where most contract lawyering occurs) has shed thousands of jobs. Additionally, the off-shoring of legal drudgery continues so that the jobs that had to be done by contract lawyers can now be done in Asia at a fraction of the cost.

Save your money if you are already out of law school. If you are still in school and unsure what to do, and not doing well in your law school/class, consider another line of work. Do not fall for the now-quaint notion that you can temp and start your own legal practice because that construct is extinct.

Good luck!
