This is written by a man affected seriously from FASD. It gave an insight into his problems with cognition. Everyone is different, though, so it won't generalize to every sufferer, like the patient I know. But it was interesting.

Great book in understanding the long term effects of FAS. As adoptive parents of mildly affected FAS children,it's crucial to understand what they will, and won't understand and how their thought process works.

, especially for somewhat older young people, that are on their way gaining independence. I didn't know what to expect, but I was very happy with the book and hope I can use it to develop better tried and true strategies to use on our 5 yr. old foster child with FAS.

Really pleased that the author Stephen Neafey has shared his experiance of living his life with a diagnosis of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome(FAS). This book will give readers HOPE! The book also shares coping strategies which will also help. Living with FAS for many due to the lack of information and ignorance throughout the professional sector especially here in the UK, is a nightmare for all.

I took the book to a support group meeting here within the UK and one of the members took the book to read. This says it all.

Thank you Stephen.

This is an amazing book which can help adults with FASD learn more about the condition, and find ways to help themselves in their daily lives. Steve's story and the ways he has discovered to get around the problems of a person with FASD can show how the brain can function in different ways to achieve a better way of living. I highly recommend this book to those with FASD and those working with them.
