As a personal shopper for the past eight years, she's been collecting Birkins and selling them to clients on a private basis.
"They are perceived as very hard to get," said Matthew, "But I've been able to get ahold of them. There's nothing like a Hermes bag. They are absolutely beautiful." Matthew has just published a book, Hermes Addiction, that celebrates the hand-crafted handbags and features photographs of more than $500,000 worth of Birkins.
