I found One More Wish better than books 1 and 2 in this series. I am a major RJG fan and have been for several years.
I will try not to give too much away in this review but I will say that things finally change for Todd and Christy. In the previous books they were struggling with realistic issues that young or newly wed couples may face. And Katie showed up a few times, not in person, but still. If you've read the Christy Miller series and books 1 and 2 in this series, there are a few characters that you will feel sad for. Christy and Todd have the same group of friends. I found myself rooting for one of the Bible study kids that showed up, she winds up being a huge blessing to everyone and maybe there will be a spin off about her. I like the way Robin makes these characters so lovable and real, I almost found myself praying for them like they exist. Lol. Well, all RJG's characters are real in my heart. There are a few characters from the Glenbrooke series (my personal fave) that show up. I'm still holding out for Teri and Gordo to make a an appearance. Those two are my favorite ever! I'm not sure if there will be a 4th book but if there is I definitely want to read it. I'm thinking of re-reading One More Wish, that's how much I liked it. It's filled with great lessons, inspiration and situations that make you check your own walk with God. Loved it!!!!!! I'd give this book 100 stars if I could. :)

When I first read the excerpt of this book months before its release, I almost decided not to read this addition to the series - the first one I would have passed up. I didn't want to see Christy and Todd reach another milestone of life while I was stuck in the same dry season a second year in a row. But a few days after the book came out, I was hungry for a new story to read and I felt the Lord encouraging me to give it a read.

And I'm so glad I did.

What I love about this series is how real the characters' struggles are. RJG doesn't shy away from the reality that it is exceedingly difficult to trust the Lord over and over again with your life and your life circumstances. I loved how even though the characters are in very different stages of life than I am right now, I could relate and empathize with the same themes of trust, setbacks, and navigating decisions. Rather than lamenting over the possibility of them having a child and moving forward while I again stayed behind, I found myself rooting for them to have a baby. I won't spoil it and say what happens but I will say I'm very glad I read this book. I found myself encouraged and reminded of the Lord's goodness and faithfulness. I don't know what lies before me on my personal road but stories like this remind me that the Person writing it has my best interests at heart - and for that, I'm grateful.

Excellent story, well-written, and a joy to read. If you're still debating on whether or not to buy this book, stop debating and just hit the "buy" button. It is worth every penny.

I could go on and on!! What a wonderful addition (hopefully not conclusion) to the Christy Miller series!! It's amazing how people I'll never truly meet come alive and feel like some of my closest friends! Best series EVER!!!! I've grown up with Christy, Katie, Tracy, Todd and the gang. . .I hope I get to grow old with them!

I love the series but found this one different and somewhat childish in some sense. Like talking kids names and a friend used one-and Christy is upset that a friend is "stealing" her kids name and she isn't even pregnant-I was hoping for something more mature.

I read both the Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen series as a teenager. I have also read the Glenbrooke series and I love how Robin has intertwined all of them. It is cool to see the characters and stories come full circle. It may seem odd but I started reading these books over 20 years ago and reading Christy and Todd:The Years, has been like catching up with an old friend!
