I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Lindsey Smith's book, "Food Guilt No More". I came across this book and fell in love instantly! Her book is so engaging and loaded with wonderful information that spoke so true to my heart. I started reading it and could not put it down. I love how she demonstrates the relationship to food many of us experience, yet don’t want to talk about. It is as if she were speaking directly to me. Her stories felt as if they were my own. I love her message in this book to "Think good thoughts. Eat real Food. Love yourself and Repeat as necessary”. I can completely identify with what she was saying about how our relationship with food can stem from a childhood situation or memory. I didn't realize how much I connected with what she was talking about until I had the privilege of reading her heartfelt words of her own journey with food. I love how she gives simple tips to change our relationship with food to no longer place guilt around it. I do believe (even more so after reading this helpful book) that food is a wonderful pleasure to be enjoyed and appreciated because it is what keeps us alive and fills us with the nutrients our bodies need, and not to think about it in a negative way. Lindsey’s book is loaded with wisdom and authentic encouragement. I felt so uplifted and inspired after I finished it!

~This is not just a wonderful cookbook with nutrition solutions, but also an amazing guide to making you feel great just the way you are! One of my favorite parts of 'Food Guilt No More' is "Body Love." These are action steps we can each take to start living and eating for ourselves. It is such an important message for ALL to hear, especially women. I can't wait to give this to my teen daughter to read so she can it and always know, she is "enough." Thank you.

Lindsey Smith is a storyteller. She shares, in her own words, her struggles and how she has overcome her own feelings of guilt to live a healthy, happy life! As recovering sugar addict myself (not to mention being catholic) I too have spent far too many hours, even days feeling guilty about my food choices. But no more! Thank you Lindsey for sharing your story and wisdom with us all.

Lindsey hits the nail on the head with Food Guilt No More. She shows us how the difference between a harmful or nourishing food is actually the way we perceive it and value it, not it in how many calories or how much fat it contains. She shows us how our cravings are meaningful and that a high fat food can in fact be nourishing, if that is what our body truly needs at the time. Lindsey also helps us decode our cravings and learn how to satisfy them in a way that will be most beneficial to our bodies. Well done! Fun, informative and yummy read!

5.0 out of 5 stars for “Food Guilt No More”! Lindsey Smith addresses the shame and guilt that food can stir in our souls. As an ex-food junkie, anorexic and bulimic who spent years battling with an emotional eating disorder and wrestling with the idea of “good food” versus “bad food” I can finally say I have made peace with food. Thank you to the author for your transparency and clever writing skills for you have crafted the perfect “how-to” guide to help people break free from emotional eating. This book is truly a guide to finally tame negative self-loathing over food choices. With this book as the guide to that freeing journey one can begin to enjoy the art of loving one-self and loving food as nourishment in a healthy non-abusive way. Lindsey’s insightful approach even brought pleasure to and empowered me to re-establish a more loving relationship to food that I thought could never happen. After all food is nourishment and we have to eat to live... but not live to eat. Since becoming a Coach, I have realized that I am not alone and this is an all too common, yet not highly talked about silent struggle. I am thankful for this book to guide and give common-sense solutions to give fellow food junkies. Plus, BONUS!!! Try the recipes, they are scrumptious! As an Integrative Health Coach, I encounter many on this journey to self-discovery and healing and this book will be on referral list for future reference. I can say I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone who has to eat to live.

"Wonderfully written book. Lindsey has managed to cover so many topics in how to turn around negativity and relate to our bodies and food without shame and guilt into marveling at how much our bodies do for us.
The recipe section is about nourishing not just your physical body, but your mind as well. Lindsey suggests affirmations to say while preparing each recipe and also includes a personal story of overcoming what didn’t work for her and beginning to behave in a way that aligns with who she really is - not what she is ‘supposed’ to be. Her stories are relatable (I especially related to her ‘pizza’ story!) and I can see them helping others with similar issues. Lindsey takes childhood, fattening and unhealthy recipes and updates them with healthier options. Leave it to Lindsey to update a grilled cheese sandwich!
Just reading the yummy recipes, combined with the affirmations and personal stories - made me feel full! I can’t wait to try them all - especially the No-Bake Chocolate Pie.
For anyone wanting to develop a healthy relationship with food and their bodies - this book is a must read."
