I got this as a Christmas gift from a friend, who is aware of the lack of fondness I hold for Mr. Cumberbatch.
When I first opened the package, I didn't know what to think. Was this for real? Was this an actual real product that someone made? Was this a serious product for serious fans? Why would someone want this? Questions that I might never get answered.

This book is great because the actual drawings in it are so ridiculous, one of them looks like they've just cropped different drawings of bodies together to form Mr. Cumberbatch's body, and then they just put his head on top of it, making the perspective of the entire thing so awful. (By the time I got to that specific page I decided that this product might be meant for people like me, who like to laugh at horrible things, and not actual fans of Mr. Cumberbatch.) There's also this drawing of him smiling/laughing and it may, or may not, have given me nightmares. In another of the drawings he looks like the protagonist from the game Persona 4, which made me laugh so hard I had to go lie down for a moment.

To be completely honest, while going through this book, I had to go lie down several times. It takes a toll on you. (laughing is a form of exercise though, so I suppose it's all good, right?)

The texture of the pages is honestly too flat to be for a colouring book, so I'd recommend people to not use markers in this book, and instead opt for colouring pencils.

Would recommend for people like me who enjoy horrible, hilarious messes.
Or actual fans of Mr. Cumberbatch.
Who am I to judge.

Interesting to have a coloring book for a celebrity. As my daughter put it there is something strangely awkward but appealing about the book. If you are a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch it is a must for any collection. Not so sure I would want to color the pages. I notice there are several books in this line of "Colour Me Good" products. I would not be surprised if they are all a bit awkward.

The illustrations in this book are pretty great in a kind of ridiculous way and leaves plenty of opportunity to fill in his cheekbones... but it loses a star because if you press too hard while coloring, there's ink transfer on the subsequent pages. And the paper could stand to have a little tooth to hold the pigment. That's probably just me, as an artist, being picky, though. Great for fans. :3

This book is hilarious. If any of you or your friends are dedicated cumberb....es, buy this thing. Not only is it a coloring book, but it's also a "fantasy" book for big fans. You can draw yourself on dates with him...or you can draw him in a house. The gift was perfect for my wife!

I bought it as a secret santa gift for a friend that's in love with Dr. Who and Cumberbatch. It was a pretty good size and the images were pretty good too. The reason I took off a star was because of the paper used. It was a semi-glossy type of paper that isn't as suitable for colorpencils or crayons, and maybe not even washable markers. It's more of a sharpie coloring book. Other than that, the pages were thick enough that ink wouldn't bleed through and there were enough images to make it a pretty good coloring book.

This was a fun coloring book I bought for my daughter as a surprise gift. It does exactly what it says it does: let you color pictures of your celebrity Cumber-crush. This is just one of many celebrity coloring books by Mel Elliott. It's a clever but simple concept and well-executed. Wish I'd had coloring books like this for my crushes when I was younger!
