IMPORTANT: This review is not a commentary on the content of these three graphic novels, which are masterpieces, but on the cheap paper used to print these specific 75 anniversary box set editions. Once again, DC gives us non-glossy, flimsy paper. As a result, the coloring is not crisp but actually bleeds over the lines. It's terrible to the touch and to the eye. These works are definitely worth reading and owning BUT don't buy this collection. Aside from a nice box to contain these graphic novels you are better off buying them in their separate editions from previous years which are printed on glossy, heavier paper worthy of their beautiful art and seminal storytelling. I give this 75th anniversary box set collection 1 star for the outrageously terrible paper and 5 stars for the actual stories so they average out to 3 stars. Indeed, this particular edition of these works is exactly what 3 stars mean: it's just "okay."

As a reviewer already stated, this collection is printed on horrid paper, thin and cheap, which cannot take the amount of ink required. The binding is also very tight and can be qualified as a "mousetrap". It is a much better idea to buy these stories separately in other editions.

I opened this up and was immediately disappointed by the quality of the cover. I then flipped through each book and was even more disappointed by the cheap paper and horrible binding that was used to print these wonderful stories on. You are much better off purchasing each one individually. About 10 minutes after I opened this set, it was on its way back to Amazon.

The stories are excellent. These are definitely three of the best Batman stories I have ever read. Having said that, I do find the binding was tight and the artwork lacked a certain pop you would expect. I was especially disappointed in the artwork of "Hush" which had amazing pictures but with the dull ink printed on the page it seemed to lose something. If you want the story and a deal get these, but if you're looking to really apreciate the work of these great artists you're better of spending a little more to get the individual copies of each book.

Yes the pages of the books are not the best but if you are a new batman fan looking to buy some of the best batman comics this is it and itll look great on your shelf too! but in my opinion I think you're better off buying them separately

In the world of online shopping, I have found you get what you pay for. These 3 stories are great for a more affordable price. Everyone complaining of the quality of the paper I'm sure were expecting glossy pages. I bought the death of superman as well and it was printed on the same paper. Great art and great stories. Worth the $.

I got this for my husband at Christmas and he was thrilled. We have been in and out of the Comics industry for 35 years, him longer, and I know his tastes. These are great stories, and I knew that in the rush of selling comics on eBay, he never got to read them. The set is polished, it looks great displayed on the bookshelf. If you are a Batman fan, and you have not read these Comics, this might be a good investment for you. He gets to keep his set because it was a present. Lucky him.

DO NOT BUY!! Do not take me the wrong way these books are amazing, some of the best comic books out there, but this set is not worth it at all. The paper is very cheap and flimsy and the print of the comic looks terrible. It may look ok in the picture, but it is not inside. I believe it is the same price, if not cheaper to buy each of these books individually, so please do that. I highly recommend the books in the set, but just do not buy this set, buy them individually. Reading the books from this set will completely ruin your experience, I sent it right back to amazon after inspecting the terrible quality.
