Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
From my 9 year old daughter: It was very interesting. At the beginning of the book it tells you who they were, what they did, how they reacted to Viking attacks. The book asks a question and then gives you answers.

From my 7 year old daughter: I liked it because I learned about history. The are comics are funny. Fun and easy to read.

We are using this with our history curriculum (History Odyssey Middle Ages Level 1). This was a suggested supplemental reading, and since I have avid readers, I always purchase 2-3 of the suggested supplements for each lesson. We will be purchasing more of the Horrible Histories series.

I gave this to my two brothers for Christmas last year, and I don't believe that it has rested on the shelf for more than a week at a time without one of them reading it again. They love it! It's nearly always in the backpack or the hand of my 11-year-old brother and he keeps quoting weird facts at the entire family. Great learning tool!

I collect Terry Deary books. I have used them extensively in COLLEGE CLASSES...believe it or not! I just wish Deary's magazine was available in the U.S. Good stuff!
