On the outside this looks like a nice Bible but once you open it up you immediately notice problems with the binding and layout. The left hand column is so close to the binding that it is almost impossible to read. You literally have to bend the bible totally backwards to read what is in the left column. These Bibles are defective and shouldn't be sold on Amazon. I have wasted $10 of my money. Don't buy this gift Bible.

I received this today. I think it is fantastic! I agree that the binding is a bit stiff but as others have said, you can work around it. I got it in the mail today and it is already loosening with my working it. The cover is nice and soft. I am in the process of reading this version. I have tried others, but find this one to be easiest to follow without getting lost or confused by the wording of phrases. If you are looking for an inexpensive, easy to read, good looking/feeling Bible, look no further.

I agree with another review that the binding is too tight. Never in all my years have I not been able to lay a bible flat on the table while reading it, or keep it open on my knees. This bible can barely be opened and the words cannot be seen. I had to return it, because I just couldn't continue using a bible like that. I have never returned a bible before. I felt awful. Tyndale...what happened here? You make lovely bibles. Fix this.

This Bible has a beautiful cover of simulated leather. BUT the binding is so tight that you cannot read the words that come close to the center of the book when it is open. You have to press the book hard to open it as far as possible in order to read those words. I returned the Bible because I would not enjoy reading a book that I had to press hard on each page and struggle to read.

The NLT version of the bible is very easy to understand, and thats the only thing going for this bible. The binding is extremely rough and you find yourself struggling to keep the book open just to read the words, as they are soooo close to the seam! Great price... but not a comfortable read or book to hold

We found this bible on Amazon and thought it would be a great gift for girls in our Student Ministry because:
1) A Bible in hand is better than none at all.
2) The New Living Translation is pretty easy to read for teenagers (and adults too!) - easy to read improves the chances it will be put to use!
3) The quality was excellent and the price was great!

Working with youth in an urban setting in today's society can be challenging; don't let money be an obstacle preventing you from giving them something that will instill the ultimate Truth, Peace, and Hope in their lives. After all, the Bible is the greatest love story ever told: a Father (God) that lost His children (us) and the actions He took to rescue them because of his unfailing LOVE!

Bought this for my 17 year old granddaughter and she loves it! I have one for myself as well just the TuTone is set differently. These covers are softer than any other cover I have ever had and I have many bibles. The pages are great, the size is perfect!
