Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I found that the stories are age appropriate. Unfortunately, there is not any consistency with the length of the stories. I wish the book would have started off with shorter stories then increased the length along the way to build confidence. Either way, I am satisfied overall with the content of this book, although I will likely not purchase the next grade level in this series or any other due to the size of the books. One positive is the price is right!

Things to keep in mind before buying:

1) The pages are not perforated.
2) The book dimensions are 7" x 9" vs. the standard 8 1/2 x 11 ... so kind of small.
3) The stories are sometimes half a page and sometimes a full page ... inconsistent, or at least different than what I would like to use.

If you don't mind the size of the book or the fact that the pages are not perforated then I would recommend this book. This book would probably do better for home use rather than for classroom use but try it and see if you like it.
