Romantic but complex, this was great summer reading but would also be a perfect gift for a sweet sixteen or graduation. It's an entertaining blend of giddy love affairs mixed with thoughtful elements. The characters are fun and their struggles relateable. Easy to relive your college days with this one (all of the untamed excitement, budding new love, and bad decisions) - definitely worth a read.

I'll try not to spoil it for you, but if you are interested in the idea that two soul's fates could be intertwined in a way that neither of them expected then check out this book! Not only is it a love story but the main character develops and grows up a lot. It is a fairly fast read and the language paints pictures in your mind. I would recommend for young adults and twenty-somethings.

I particularly enjoyed the authenticity of the characters and how they come to life effortlessly throughout the story. The fluent, casual writing with a tad of mystery make such a wonderful combination that it was hard to put the book down at times. I recommend reading it, especially for people in their college/high school years.

In Untold, Amy Spitzfaden weaves a love story unlike any other. And I hunt for good love stories, like the protagonist, Katie, hunts for the perfect fairy tale.
I like to add bits of the stories to my reviews. Favorite lines and moments that stayed with me. My copy of this book is dogeared like crazy and choosing only a few to share will be difficult! Here goes.

Katie Winters is in her final year of college and given an amazing opportunity, a photography intensive, a one on one with a women named Geri.

“I want to take the joy of right now, and turn them into little forevers, kept on the mantelpiece.”

Meanwhile, she’s struck by a longing. A deep sense of emptiness and only the knowledge that there should be someone to fill it. She knows she is missing someone, a male someone, who she has never met.
In an attempt to complete an assignment and impress Geri, Katie ends up joining a somewhat radical environmental group.
This recurring theme of someone missing, kept me completely intrigued throughout the beginning of the story. Katie’s brother Jude, an alcoholic, complicates things and inadvertently sends Katie barreling towards her first clue as to who it is she is missing.

My footsteps echo my shame as I forge though the crowd.

Katie’s voice is so clear and though her character has gone through a lot, she is clearly young. There were a few times I was shaking my head and said out loud, “Katie, you are so young.” As a reader, I could see that things were a little strange between Katie and Michael, her best friend/roomate’s boyfriend. But Katie is completely clueless.

The writing is masterful. Spitzfaden uses words to perfectly describe emotions everybody feels and yet could never quite describe. The reader get swept up in the emotions of the characters and I couldn't put it down. It's one of those "read as you walk' books, and when I read the last few words I had to let them sink in, and it was a shame to come back to the real world. I would recommend this book to anybody who loves charming fantasy with delightful twists.

A modern fairytale, "Untold" hits the sweet spot between fate and choice. What do you do if you've found the one you're meant to be with, but a large part of you whispers that it's the wrong choice? This is what Katie must struggle with throughout the book. Every character is dynamic and believable, and the friendship between Katie and Pandora was my favorite part, though all of it is fantastic. I highly recommend it if you like romantic stories that don't sound contrived or annoying.

Untold is an amazing story about finding the one who you're supposed to be with, but also about sticking to what you think is right no matter what. The book is one that is captivating from the get go, and will have you stay up way past your bedtime reading it. I really enjoyed the character of Pandora, and look forward to seeing her have her own set of adventures. The pace of the book was really good. I recommend everyone to buy this book, and discover the world that the author has penned down on paper.
