Very practical reading on the kind of challenges and questions every board should have. It is not a set of "best" practices and really contributtes to the global discussion on what is the role of corporate boards (listed and in non listed companies). I have recommended this book to several of my clients in Latin America.

This book is a compilation and reflects many years of experience. It did a great job of getting me to think about the bread of the job of being on a board and it gave many concrete suggestions about how things should be done.

This is required reading if you sit on a board today. I found the chapter by Krishna Palepu linking corporate strategy to board room information to be particularly pertinent.
