2.0 out of 5 stars What a rip off, September 28, 2008
By J. Good (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
If the retail price of a textbook is $152, I would expect the publishers to hire a copy editor who knows how to read. In just a quick scan I've found the word "gun" used instead of "gum," "international," instead of "intentional," and "If" is apparently spelled with two Is these days. Also, the information tables are insultingly elementary ... not unlike what you'd expect to find in a fourth-grade reader.

There is a lot of useful information in the book. I'll say that for it.

But, all in all, I'd say the price of the book combined with it's quality actually made me angry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Torts Law Book- The Blue Book, June 12, 2009
For the class that I am currently taking I find this book to be very efficient. It has all the Torts Law information to know. It has real Legal examples which makes it great. It gives you all the definition necessary to understand the law. I like the book a lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fourth Edition A Charm, May 27, 2009
Usually 3's a charm yet that is what Okrent did with the 4th edition. The new ethical feature in each chapter "Biggest Mistakes" is worth a read to improve anyone's career. How she keeps the essence of torts to 13 chapters is masterful as well as laced with her array of interesting new cases. Okrent on Torts!
