My two year old son loves elephants and will watch them for 30+ minutes at the zoo. He already knows the names of the elephant's parts (trunk, tusks, etc.), and I was looking for a book with more simple elephant facts he'd understand. This book is perfect! There are a couple of sentences per page about what elephants eat, how they use their trunks and tusks, etc. The photos show a variety of different elephant activities that my son can understand. He loves this book and wants me to read it to him several times a day.

I can also see this book being useful for him in the future. It's brief but contains a table of contents, glossary, and index, so this would be a simple book to teach him how to use those when he's ready.

We studied this elephant book before we went to the Zoo. There was just one elephant left to see at the Zoo. Many many other animals to compare. too
