I'm always interested in checking out the introductory, self-study type books on celestial navigation. Most all have interesting little tid-bits of knowledge that I find interesting (occasionally fascinating) and this one was no exception. If you're trying to learn Celestial Navigation or if you like seeing new ways to teach/learn the intro fundamentals of the craft, this one won't disappoint.

This book is not the last word on celestial navigation, but it is without doubt the best first word on the market. An essential purchase for blue water sailors wanting a back-up or alternative to electronic navigation such as GPS.

The best book you can buy on celestial navigation. I have spent lots of money on other books and still had limited abilities to use my sextant for fixes. After just a short read of CN for the Clueless, I finally understood what all the other books were trying to tell me. A fun read and easy to understand. The examples are wonderful. A must for anyone just starting out with celestial navagation.

A good first text. Easy step-by-step explanations that give you the big picture. "The Clueless" gives you the basics for simple navigation and prepares you to decode the more complex navigation books.
