By Franz Metcalf on September 27, 2013
Format: Hardcover
I was struck, in reading this fine and provocative book, by how needed it is. As the authors say, "our society does almost nothing to teach children about these powers that naturally emerge within their nightly slumber" (105). Even I, a parent and PhD trained in psychology of religion, do almost nothing to teach my daughter about the power of her dreaming. This book can change that, not just for parents, but for teachers, therapists, anyone who wants to help children's endangered creative lives.

Children's Dreams is challenging without being intimidating. If you have psychological or educational training, it will add to your abilities. But even if you have no training at all, don't fear; this book will empower you to do dream work with yourself and with the children in your life. Give it a try!
