As a follow-on to the first Mousetronaut book, this is another can-do tale of how everyone (including Meteor) can perform great deeds despite their size. My children ask me to read this book repeatedly and, I hope, it is beginning to inculcate a knowledge of space as well as realizing they can do anything they set their minds to do.

Specifically asked the 6-yo which one of the Moustronaut books he liked better, and without hesitation, he picked this one. I agree with one reviewer that the writing was a little stilted, but I don't think the 6-yo cared. The book had great information about the space program and I ended up learning a lot. Indeed, the 4-page afterword taught me enough about the potential issues involved with a manned mission to Mars, that I was able to keep up my end of a very lively discussion of space exploration with a 6 yo.

Super cute book with fantastic illustrations. Go on an adventure with this mouse as he joins the crew to space. I use this in my class during space week. The children love the story and we root for the greatest mouse. I saw this at the museum of flight and I knew that my class needed a copy. We love the addition as well.

Purchased for 5-7 year old grandsons, whose father is a captain for Southwest Airlines. When the books arrived Dad read them to the boys several times. The part for adults makes the book more than just "a kid's book."

Adorable illustrations and fun story-line make Mousetronaut Goes to Mars a great read aloud for elementary age students. The appendix has a lengthy and informative section about Mars's terrain, orbit, also Russian and the United States space attempts (failures and successes) throughout the years. Parents and educators can use this as additional science curriculum when covering the planets, typically in 5th grade.

Mousetronaut is a lovable smart character. My three year old grandson loves this story! Beautifully illustrated! I purchased thus book after reading him the original story. Both are very entertaining and educational. Space exploration is still alive.
