THE CROC ATE MY HOMEWORK is a collection of "Pearls Before Swine" comic strips geared toward children. The book works great both as a book of comic strips for kids and as an introductory primer to the wonderful comic strip that is "Pearls Before Swine." There are some great strips in this collection. What this book doesn't include are any long running story arcs or very many of those wacky pun strips that "Pearls" has become famous (or is it infamous) for. I've been a reader of "Pearls Before Swine" for many years and it is my favorite still-running strip.

I had never heard of this comic before I read this, and I am glad to have now found it as it was funny, witty and definitely edgy. I found the comics to be a bit crazy at times and I loved the crocodiles in the comics, they were just hilarious. The artist/author has done a great job at bringing together humor, wit and even a bit of commentary on society all into one place. Kudos! If you have never read this comic before, I highly encourage you to pick up this book today!

I read half of this book to give a try as I'd never read "Pearls Before Swine". I'm not a comic strip fan and couldn't make my way through the whole book, but I actually enjoyed the comics. I take things pretty literally and don't usually get or find comics funny but these did tickle my fancy. Rat's sarcasm was my favourite part and he's probably my favourite character. This particular book is the second in a series of comics specially selected for young readers.
