This nook is fun and well illustrated, BUT there is just no way a child aged 4 or 5 could possibly understand the meanings in this book. It's one of those very clever picture books that seems to be written for the parents to think is cute instead of understandable for small kids. There are lots of plays on words like atmosphere and gravity. My child just didn't get the word play. And I'm not sure too many other children her age would either. This is a great book for maybe 2nd or 3rd graders who could grasp why it's funny. Also, there is mention of nap time in Kindergarten. I'm pretty sure that hasn't happened since the early 80's. Nice idea, but too nuanced for young kids.
