Move over Jake Wethers, the Storm just got mightier! Ladies, if you like dirty talking, man slut (or as Lyla calls them muts) rockers, walk your little One-Clicking fingers over to amazon and get yourself some Tom Carter. OH. MY. LORD. The man had me squirming!

I kind of thought of Tom as a bit of a goofball from the first two books in Samantha Towle's series. I mean, c'mon, Rub the Lamp? Those of you that have read them know exactly what I'm talking about. Let me tell you, Tom totally blew me out of the water! This man is smexy, yes, smokin' and sexy. Phew, is it hot in here?

Lyla was a great heroine, she was sweet with just the right amount of edge. Her band is on their first tour and due to a freak accident they need a new manager. Enter Tom. I LOVED some of the verbal sparring she did with Tom. Her mouth had no filter and that made her incredibly likable and real.

And, Tom Carter, have I waxed poetic enough about him yet? The man is a GOD on the bass and in the bedroom, elevator, backstage, where ever and whenever it strikes his fancy. But beyond the rocker turned tour manager is a man that is broken. He doesn't do love. Do they ever? That make watching them fall that much more fun!

Not only did Taming the Storm meet my expectations, it went above and beyond them. Fans of the first two books will love to add this one to their collection as well. This is a full length novel told through dual POV's, no cliffhanger.

Man. I was excited for this book, because Samantha Towle is the bomb, but even I was surprised at how much this story reached in and yanked my heart right up my throat. Lyla is SO kick ass, I laughed out loud so many times at her internal dialogue. And while I loved Tom in the previous two TMS books, he just gutted me in this one. Yes, a couple time I wanted to knee him in the balls, but that's what makes Ms Towle such a good author. I still adored him despite all of that. The sexual tension between these two was incredible, but she made the wait so worth it once these finally hit the sheets. What I also loved was that she didn't put too much angst in this book, which happens far too often in my opinion. It was just enough to make me unable to stop reading, but not to the point where I'm ready to drive over my kindle bc of what the characters are doing. This is one freaking talented author. Go ahead and fall in love with Tom and Lyla.

The Storm series is one of my favorite's series and I was so happy to hear Tom was getting his own book. I've loved Tom from the beginning and I've always wanted to know what his story was and why he acts the way he does.

Tom was perfect... Lyla is a feisty girl and has no filter .. she just says how things are. I loved seeing them both interact with each and finding out about their difficult backgrounds and how they connected with one another. I'm a huge fan of duel POV's so to have it in this book made it even better.

TTS was fantastic ..... it was addictive, funny, sexy and a heart wrenching read but yet so different from the other Storm books.
Two Thumbs up for another well done book by Samantha Towle

The Mighty Storm is one of my favorite books! Which means, I was impatiently waiting for Tom's book and I must say, I was a little disappointed. The 1st half of the book, I disliked all of Lyla's mind games toward Tom. I understood her fear of getting burned again, but her constant verbal lashing was just unnecessary. Then toward the end in the 2nd half, Tom was so emotionally hurtful toward Lyla once she expressed her true feelings, that it made the whole story difficult for me to love. I thought there was so much more depth to Jake and Tru's story and hoped for the same with Tom - even though he was always a true mutt! Overall, if you love TMS, read this. While I was slightly disappointed, I still couldn't put the book down.

Lyla Summers was always a "relationship" type of girl even though they always ended badly for her. After her latest disaster and betrayal, she has sworn off men. Tom Carter is the opposite. He is a complete man whore. He's famous, cocky, arrogant, and detached when it comes to women. He has his reasons and he has lived this fast life for a long time. But when faced with a near tragedy that hits too close to home, he has some clarity and vows to be change his life and be better. But his reputation preceeds him.

"I'm not a good guy--well, I wasn't, but I'm working toward becoming one."

Lyla is a singer and lives for her band, Vintage. The guys are now her pseudo family. They have just been signed by TMS Records and are about to go out on tour. Lyla is not exactly thrilled when she finds out that Tom will be taking over as manager for their tour. Just what she needs...another "Mutt" or Man Slut around her.

Their initial interactions are snarky and heated. She is not afraid to set Tom straight. They get right under each other's skin. But despite their history, their views on the opposite sex, and their professional relationship, sexual tension and unwanted attraction sizzles under the surface.

They are both unfiltered, volatile, passionate and fiery. There's denial, fighting, avoidance, chasing, running, jealousy, and drama. They are the definition of fight or flight syndrome. They react and combust, attract and repel, push and pull, and it seems to be out of their control. They fight themselves, their true feelings, each other, and anyone in their way.

They are volatile, confused, and have chemistry that won't quit. They think they can manage on a set timeline, keep up barriers, and walk away.Read more ›
