Let me start by saying I am not a huge fan of The Cartel series like most people. I loved the first book and I enjoyed the second book until the dream portion. As for the third installment it was just okay, but A&J really killed it for part 4. From the first page I was completely drawn in, never knowing what was going to happen next. They say blood is thicker than water, but blood doesn't always equal loyalty. Carter and Zyir are loyal to one another and they expect the same out of anyone in their crew. One crew member seems to have a different opinion all because he wants to be the one to sit on the throne as the leader of the infamous Cartel and he will stop at nothing to get that title. Cartel 4 was full of murder, sex, and drugs. Everytime I thought the situations were resolved, something else would happen. The way it ended there has got to be more because Diamonds are forever! I can't wait for part 5 La Bella Mafia, I know these chicks are going to bring it!

I finally sat down and read the Cartel 4. I enjoyed the first 3 although if I had to choose, the first Cartel book is the absolute best. The story was interesting and there was a lot going on that made me keep reading. I truly enjoyed it HOWEVER, I do have some issues with this book. First two characters come back from the dead, Miamor and Money. The issue I have with this is if you are going to bring back characters from the dead, it should only be one not two. Secondly, if they planned to bring them both back later on in the series, they should have created their death to appear a little less obvious. Money comes back after a 5 year coma. Yet, in the previous books, he was dead with an open casket funeral. It should've been closed casket or a cremation so at least you can fake that. How do you fake an open casket funeral? In Cartel 4, they say he was in a coma but still breathing in the casket. SUCH BULLS***, because anyone with a brain know you cannot be in a comma and not be hooked up to machines to help you breathe and stay alive. Also, if anyone is in a coma for five years that would not be able to function the way Money did throughout this book. It would take at least a year of rehabilitation to function like a normal person. So as much as I loved Money in the first book, he should have stayed dead. Second, Miamior, she also comes back from the dead but in the last book they say her body was decomposed. So clearly she was dead. How do you bring a decomposed body back from the dead. These thing sort of insults the intelligence of the reader and I don't like that. Lastly, Carter doesn't appear as ruthless as he once was. The characters are starting to become unlikable. I like Leena and Breeze, they haven't changed much through the series. Money has changed.Read more ›

I must say after all the waiting for this Cartel 4 book I was very confused. Everything was crazy, all the dead people coming back, Young Carter losing his swag, Mecca coming back like he is running thangs then he has the nerves to go off on family "What is that?", Breeze acting like she don't have any thugness in her at all and is blind to everything going on around her. This book was way off base for two of my favorite author's. I'm scared that Prada Plan 3 is going to be some of the same. There are so many unfinished series between A&J (too many to count)and I think that they have a lot on their plates, it's starting to show in their work. With each release date being so far apart you would have thought that this book would have been fire (NOT). With that being said I'm still a fan!

Just when you thought it was over, the coin flips and the game changes again. TC4 was definitely a page turner, it kept me from start to finish. Carter Jones! Whew. All I can say is 'what a man, what a man.' In this latest installment readers, get a, (if they haven't already) glimpse at how jealousy, egos and entitlement can tear apart a family. I enjoyed the entire storyline, it was exhilarating to read the 'twist and turns' of the characters. Just when you think it's over, or the tension has died down, another storm rolls through and turns everything ALL THE WAY UP!!!

Ashley and JaQuavis are very lucky i missed the deadline to get a refund for this trashtastic book!

I am so IRKED! how dare you bring back Money and Miamor???
let me start by saying i thought The Cartel 1-3 were GREAT! it was pretty much a realistic story. thats why i enjoyed it so much.

however this book, i dont think i can truly type what i think about it. Amazon would never publish my review.

My issues:

Money being summoned from the dead after 5 years. REALLY?! no seriously... REALLY???! it doesnt make sense at all. he wakes up, struggles to walk then proceeds to take over the business. ok bye!

the whole story theyre trying to build about Meccas spirit inhibitings Money's body is stupid. are you horror story writers or urban writers??? stay in your lane.

Miamor should of stayed dead! she was nothing but trouble! in all previous books she was trouble and got what she deserved.

Miamor being kidnapped by Murder. i mean come on! he's still obsessed after all these years???

the whole table confession scene... UNREALISTIC! i refuse to believe that anyone would be ok eating with the person who murdered their mother.

BREEZE! point proven! i dont even have to speak on it, her name is even annoying.

the fact that Carter turned punk, it broke my heart smh

the plane carter, zyir and money was in just randomly blows up. do you really think we cant see where youre going with this??? we all know youre going to bring them back.

THE ONLY PRO:
Zyir is the only character who is still the same.

i truly hate this book, if there was a national book burning somewhere, i would include this book.
i will NOT buy the 5th one, i will download it. they dont deserve my money after book.
