Having experienced life without religion of any kind I was not looking for 'answers'. Two near fatal accidents later, life became important but not religion. Leahs journey seemed to be looking not for a religion but a reality. There is a lot of emotion with a religion but Leahs search appears to touch the passion of life that attracted me. I have not had the hard pressure of Leahs trials with family or friends, but I am willing to seek the reality of her faith. Judaism seems more of a reality from this book for me than anything I have seen and witnessed. Read and enjoy the book for yourself. Take the journey together with Leah.

I saw this book online and decided this might be interesting. It is the story of a Christian woman and her family who are searching for a true, complete and real relationship with God. Most important it must follow the scriptures with no allowances for preconceived ideas and generational footsteps that we put our own feet into. Leah doesn't shy away from the good, bad and ugly in the telling of her story (her eyes must be raw from salty tears).

Leah and Bob's listened to Rabbi Tovia Singers 26+ part teaching program and read the accompanying book. It leads them toward Judaism from Christianity. This was very hard on Leah, leaving her without friends, church family and a warm relationship with her Mom and Dad.

This was a fascinating story of a journey from what she knows to having a comfy chair kicked out from under her by her husband. Is she leaving truth for error? It seems she is leaving peace for discord and anguish and possible eternal consequences.

I thought the book was very interesting and well paced. I learned quite a bit about Judaism and the internal struggle in conversion. Well done, Mrs. Schiermeyer.

It was interesting and a pretty quick read, but I felt like the story could have been expanded more. There was so much that was just glossed over, which I guess makes sense since her story was many years in the making. It was interesting to read about someone who made that transition from being such a devout Christian to an observant Jew, and their integration into that lifestyle.

If you are interested in reading more stories of those that made the transition from devout Christian to observant Jew, I'd highly suggest "To Play with Fire: One Woman's Remarkable Odyssey" by Tova Mordecai - she goes more into depth on the transition.

Leah Shiermeyer recounts her tale with humor, honesty and wit. I felt as if I was joining her on this remarkable journey, step by step, as she and her husband dared to challenge their preconceived notions and the way they were raised, in pursuit of the truth. It is a truly inspiring and uplifting book that is sure to move anyone from any background. I highly recommend A Simple Twist of Faith!

It told someone's personal story and struggle with Christianity vs. Judaism. I'm not quite sure however if the person's final decision to convert came from a true spiritual experience or the warmth and embrass of one religious community verses the lack of support from the other religious community.

This book is amazing!!! i can't even begin to imagin what you went through!!!! I love this book!!! it is small and simple and i really liked how the chapters were so short, so that you could take breaks often and not be stuck in middle of a chapter.Leah this is an amazing book!!!
I would 100% recommend this book to everyone!!!
