Squeeeee!!!!!!

I seriously did not freaking blink when I got this downloaded in my kindle!!!!!
It came out three in a half hours ago and I'm already done.

I can't believe it ended like that. No cliff hanger but dang it! I wanted even more!!!!!

Golly this book was SO GOOD and I laughed, sobbed, almost threw my kindle and then I cried and then I laughed happy laughs and cried happy tears.

This book is a feel good book, especially for those of us that have had to live the slum life. I lived in a trailer park, my mom was a bartender, my mom and my older sister were teen moms.... So this story hit home so much for me. I want a happily ever after, and this book shows that we, the slum of America, do deserve better than what we think we do.

Power to Abbi G! My favorite author of all time. Thank you for writing this because I honestly didn't know how much I needed it until I cried it out.... At that one scene where she makes that awful, puke worthy phone call.

Amazing story line and amazing book.

This book teaches us not to settle, because there are people out there who are willing to fight for us!!!! (And also just because you have money doesn't make you better than everyone else, it just makes you richer!)

“I’ve always wanted a man to love me for me.”

Just when I thought that after five instalments in the Sea Breeze series I would be safe in knowing what to expect in this book, I realised that you never know what you’re going to get in an Abbi Glines novel. So very different from its prequels, this story is a gut-wrenching joy-ride beginning to end, with so many moments that will take your breath away with the intensity of emotions running through you. Jess is a bad girl that I adored, her every action making me love her even more, and this is truly her book.

“He was a fairy tale. And I didn’t live in a storybook.”

As someone who always saw herself as a bad girl from the wrong side of the tracks, Jess was raised to believe that her only way out from the life her mother had no choice but to live was by finding a man who would take care of her and save her from her reality. The only child of a single mother who could only make ends meet by working as a stripper, she never had a positive male role model around to make her believe that a good man is anything more than a fairy tale. Every man in her life used her for one thing and one thing alone, and she quickly learned that no man would ever offer her anything without expecting something in return. She was used to men putting her down, cheating on her, mistreating and disrespecting her, finding it very difficult to accept attentiveness with no strings attached.

“Enjoy him, baby girl, but remember he’s just a man. He’ll marry a girl with a trust fund. Watch your heart.”

When she meets Jason, she is immediately attracted to him physically, but the more time they spend together, the more she believes him to be completely out of her league.

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite authors. I love all her books. This one fell a little flat for me. I think Jason was attracted to Jess more on a physical level than anything else. They didn't have much of an emotional connection and very little communication with anything other than their bodies. I think Jason's character was underdeveloped and their story could have been much better. The 2nd half of the book, things picked up, but rather predictably. Jason was the white in shining armor for Jess and her mom but if anything Krit was the one I felt more love and emotion from. Still looking forward to Grant's book!

I have really enjoyed the series until this book. the ending was obviously rushed. "drama drama, drama" then BAM all of the problems are solved and they live happily ever after! so disappointing

I have been waiting a long time for this book's release. In the beginning, I liked it a lot, but I as I kept reading, my enthusiasm waned. I liked Jess a lot. She's strong and interesting. She is willing to do whatever it takes for her family; which I love. No one has ever stood up for her, not even her cousin Rock. I also found this disappointing. I wanted someone to be loyal to her other than her mother. Pretty much everyone in the book treated her poorly, especially Jason. He never did anything horrible, but he never supported Jess as a typical hero would have. I have read all of Glines' other novels, and none of the men in those books were as undeveloped and as bland as Jason. He was my whole problem with this book. He does not deserve Jess. Most of his portions of the book focused on his physical attraction to Jess. She loved him even when he could not really see her. Overall, I agree with Jess' mom's initial Gilmore Girls analogy. Jason was her Logan and Krit was her Jess. I felt like she only ended up with Jason because he could take care of her financially and give her the neat and clean ending. However, I felt myself cheering for Krit. At least he knew what he had when he had her. I'm still not sure that Jason does.
