Thoroughly enjoyable fast paced story telling. A different kind of super hero story. There are some typos that can be distracting, but the story telling is super. It would be nice if this book could be turned into a movie. Can't wait to see what the next volume will be like.

This book is pretty good. There are some flaws but over all I would recommend this book. The world building is really good and the interaction between the characters is believable. The action is fast pace if a little lacking in the description. Mainly the main character gets into a fight then it ends. I wished the author just added more description of the fight.

There are some typo flaws in the book but I didn't find it as bad as the other readers did. I really liked the world of supers here in this book. The world of supers is not overly complicated like some of the other super hero books it is nice, clean, and believable.

The book has multi character points of view and it does jumps around a bit but for some reason it works. I did get lost once when a side character died but other than that I didn't have a problem with the multi points of view.

I rated 4 stars because I really felt connected to the some of the characters in the book. Mainly the main character, her mentor, and his grandson. The book really over comes it flaws.

I am hesitant to rate anything someone has to put this much effort into as a 1 star but there is no way around it. This is a mess. I read a ton of books and I never bother reviewing them, including a lot of independently published fiction, I felt I had to with this one as a warning to others.

The author has tried to write from first person perspective from a long list of characters, a great writer might pull it off but not a novice.

The plot exists but only in the writers head, it never makes it to the page. The story feels like a patch work of unrealistic conversations taking place while interesting things are happening somewhere else and then are thrown away in a sentence.

I am baffled by the review score on this book *avoid at all cost*

I enjoyed the world created as well, and agree with the other reviewers that besides the numerous typos (very distracting) the middle section of the story kind of went away and came back, and the multiple switching back and forth between supers made it hard to follow. I think I read (and reviewed) another story that had a similar narrative style, maybe the Zephyr books, which I gave up on.
I finished this, however, which is more than I can say for the second Blackjack book.

I liked it. Mostly well written story. It could use some punctation work and when the POV changes, the author should stick to hero names. I lost track of who was talking a few times. It's got potential.
