This is the second in this series and I am loving them. For anyone who has lost a beloved pet, this concept certainly has great appeal. Add an entertaining mystery and a strong determined heroine and you have a winner. Christy has inherited her shop, Memories and Dreams, following the murder of her former boss, Cora, and her beloved cat, Midnight. That mystery was solved in the first of the series and despite her fears that Midnight has moved on, he brings another puzzle with an accompanying ghost. Summer and her father's deaths have been ruled accidental, but Christy now has reason to question the validity of that finding. With the help of her roommate, lawyer and budding love interest, and the local sheriff, a list of six suspects is systematically narrowed down until the killer is found. Will Christy be in time to allow Summer to move on and has she seen Midnight for the last time? I eagerly await the next installment in this new series.

I loved both these books, I think most any cat person will love them. I am looking forward to the next one. The only thing different I'd like to see is maybe for the main character to evolve more, maybe a trip to the library to look up info on ghosts and cats and find some interesting stuff there in addition to whatever mystery she is working on to solve at the moment. It would be nice if she could bring one of her BFF's in on her 'gift', my choice for the first one to bring in is Lincoln since he seems to care so much for her and then Marybeth. A neat other idea is for her to find out that someone else has or had the same ability, but I want it to be a good person. No matter though...I am still looking forward to the next book, any idea on when it will be coming out???

This was an enjoyable book to read. I liked the characters and hope that Christy and Lincolns relationship continues to grow. Perhaps Christy will be able to confide about her seeing Midnight and other ghost, at least to her BFF, although she does not believe in ghosts. Will be waiting to read book 3 in the series to find out which direction the storyline is headed.
