You absolutely have to read this book! I am not a big reader, but I aspire to live in paradise and have the freedom to do what I want, when I want. Ed Robinson is a funny and inspiring person that shares true stories that happen while living aboard a boat. I read his first book, Leap of Faith, Quit Your Job and Live on a Boat. I read that cover to cover, just like this one! If you love the sun and sand, cold cocktails and beer, or long to chase your dream in paradise whether on a boat or not....buy this book now! Read it and tell everyone so we can meet on a beach and share a cold one!

The first book by Ed was serious in content: Save your money, sell everything, and go live on a boat.

It is also a lighthearted and funny story of Ed and Kim's journey to Punta Gorda Florida and the home they found in a 35 foot cruiser they named "Leap Of Faith"

You might think the journey ends in a completely successful manner. Not so fast my friend, there are new challenges. Yet after all is said and done, the challenges Ed and Kim now face are minor, humorous, and will make you smile and laugh.

Ed writes about those challenges in this book, and it sure is funny!

Poop, Booze, and Bikinis addresses these new challenges, pokes a little fun at others, and will leave you wanting to drive to Florida and see what it is all about.

This was more than laughing out loud. I think guffawed a time or two. Not afraid to take the cruising lifestyle “head” on, Ed Robinson jumps right into the riveting topic of poop and why we cruisers carry ours around with us to paradise. The toilet paper as well, “we hang onto that too!” Better have a roll of that handy while you read, because you will snort, guffaw and laugh until you cry. This was an incredibly entertaining and insightful look at what it is really like to be out there, carting your “stuff” around with the rest of the boat bums. LOVED IT!

I've read all of Ed's books so far and this one is a great read, like everything else he's done. His writing is both educational AND very humorous. This one follows up on Leap of Faith, his first book on the journey he and his wife Kim took as "live-aboards". Ironically, during my reading this book and "Leap of Faith" my wife and I were actually moving down to Ed and Kim's "neighborhood" in SW Florida and when we landed found everything he describes in his books to be accurate! SW Florida is a dream-location to live and he has been one of the best ambassadors for this area through his writing. In this book, his descriptions of the characters in the life of a live-aboard and his description of what goes wrong are hilarious and that alone is worth a read, no matter where you live. But his description of the best parts of living aboard a boat will make's anyone with a life of stress, endless debt, boredom and uncertainty think about their own "status quo" and perhaps go online and look at a boat they could call "home" and make their own "Leap of Faith". Ed and Kim have done it and he has shared his experience with humor, humility and hope. He's a great writer with a point of view everyone can benefit from! Check it out it's worth it.

Poorly written, regurgitated stories from another book he wrote. Full of bad puns. I had to stop reading about a quarter of the way in. In sorry that I bought two books at once, lesson learned. Buy one and see if the author is any good before investing in more.

The book is written in an non-ending series of 7 word sentences. Sometimes they are funny; a couple are of pearls of wisdom; most often they are repetitive and drole. With so many great sailing books on the market (I have them all from Amazon) - look elsewhere for you reading. (My recommendation is "Look Inside" the book and determine for yourself if you like this kind of thing before buying).

Bought Leap of Faith and loved the book.. Couldnt wait to get our hands on Poop, Booze and Bikinis. So glad we did. We had a lot of laughs reading the book. We cant wait to be able to sell our stuff and live on a boat too. It gave us some ideas on how to live and survive on a boat, and most important, enjoy the freedom that it gives.
