Life has been extremely difficult on all levels for several years now, and I'd reached a point where I had only the slightest, fraying thread of faith left. This in spite of trying as hard as I could to do all the things a "good" Christian is supposed to do. Then, I saw Arabah Joy's book on trust and began reading. And reading. It's written in bite-sized chapters to be a daily devotional, but I couldn't stop reading. She writes powerfully and honestly about trying to be a Christian in the middle the messiness of life, and somehow
manages to inspire & re-energize readers to raise their sights, minds, & emotions to Christ instead of becoming overwhelmed by life's stresses & hardships. She knows her Bible well and chooses excellent, often lesser-cited scriptures to support her points. She includes some exercises which seem simple and yet were powerful enough to restore a good amount of my trust in God. I've reread it multiple times, and several points have stuck with me and continue to help me make fundamental shifts in my faith in God.

Arabah Joy's honesty and authenticity is the perfect backdrop to her bold declaration that God is wholly trustworthy. Writing transparently about her own faith challenges strengthens my heart to hold fast to Him in mine. Using the Word of God and her own experience, she encourages her readers to leap with abandon into His arms, knowing He will never let go...even if we do. I'm so thankful for this book. I'm thankful for the short chapters, for the ways she draws us into the Scriptures each day, for her engaging writing style that captures the reader with its honesty and poignancy. More than anything, I'm thankful for her faith in Christ as she encourages us to walk with her into deeper faith.

Trust! We live in a world that is deficient of true, biblical trust. In Trust Without Borders, Arabah Joy takes the hand of the reader and gently leads them on a journey into the heart of Jesus. Not in a preachy, I've-got-this-thing-figured-out way, but rather as one who walks alongside, learning as we journey together. By trusting Jesus with our all, we can trust Him to allow those things into our lives that are for our good, and His glory. Arabah Joy uses beautiful stories of her own faith and trust journey to encourage the reader to reach out and grasp just a little more faith, just a little more trust, with each passing day. A must read for anyone desiring to break down the borders of trust, and fling themselves into the arms of Jesus with abandon.

This is a great book for young mothers all over the world, especially those with special needs children. Arabah Joy shares what it's like being a missionary and mother in a foreign country. You will experience along side her the day to day challenges of living and raising a family among people of a completely different culture and language. She shares her heartaches and triumphs as well as her own empowerment of faith and hope in Christ. Her sometimes riveting yet inspiring writing style will compel you to explore your own belief system on a more personal level, which in turn may cultivate a genuine understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ rather than continuing in religious rhetoric and ritual.

This book came to me and helped me through some difficult times. Each day is a new and inviting story filled with good Godly advice and truths. I know this is a devotional but once I started reading I couldn't put it down and read it straight through in 2 days (instead of 40). I have often shared the truths I learned in this book with others and find them to be helpful to me in my own life too. I highly recommend this book to anyone whether you are experiences doubts in your walk with God or not.

Not only do I love the way Arabah Joy beautifully weaves together words, I also love her heart for God. In this devotional, she is open and honest about how messy and yet still beautiful our faith walk can be. She shares from her own everyday grappling with trusting in Him as a wife, a mom, a daughter, a missionary - offering up hope and wisdom she has gathered along the way. Precious nuggets of truth I am grabbing hold of for my own walk with Him. So glad she decided to share her journey - it has definitely enriched my own.

I really enjoyed this book, especially because Arabah Joy writes it with a great deal of transparency. I think most women can find themselves in at least one of her devotionals, and in particular mothers. But most of all, I love the central truth that she brings out. We can trust the Lord wholly, because he is wholly trustworthy. He may not always work in the way we expect him to, or answer as we wish, but he's always working for our good. I thank Arabah for bringing this truth out in such a sincere and convincing way! A highly recommended book for any needing this reminder! I won this book on her website--and what a great win it was!! Yay!
