Bittersweet Ending to a Favorite Series

Since reading the first book in this series, I have been absolutely addicted to it. Remy is in my top ten book boyfriends EVER and anytime I’m in a book funk, this is one of the series I gravitate to reread. I’m seriously addicted to it, so this book is bittersweet to me. I have been dying to read this book, terrified to read it, and sad to read it. Yeah, can you say confusing? So, dying to read because I love the series, and sad to see it go, but terrified because we now have a contender for Remy for the champion of the Underground. I can’t root for someone to beat Remy, can I?

“I edge a little closer, my heart pounding, fear choking me. His hands are on my hips. Spanning my waist. All it takes is a match to light a fire, and He. Is. The match.”

Maverick Cage, how I adore thee. Your passion, your pain, your resolution to be more than your past. Damn it, man. How dare you make me cheat on Remy? I can have you both, right?! Sure I can. I’m making it so.

I devoured this book in one sitting then went back and reread it again. I’m sitting here, book in hand, skimming through all the lovely highlights I made (because there are a lot) and before I realized it, had started reading it again. There is not one single word that I would change in this book except that it ended. That’s it. From beginning to end, I fell in love. Remy, Maverick, Reese, Oz, Racer, Brooke. These characters have embedded themselves deep into my heart and soul.

If I could give this 10 stars I would do it as 5 stars are definitely not enough!!!

I absolutely 100% loved this book! I'm sad to see the series end, but it was wrapped up beautifully by Ms. Evans. In this book we get it all.... Remy, Brooke, Racer (who's the cutest 3 year old ever - he LOVES to fist bump!!) along with Coach, Riley and the rest of the gang.

In this book, we've got Reese, Brooke's cousin who's trying find out what she wants to be when she grows up. There's also a "boy from back home" that she seems to want to impress by getting rid of her curves because she thinks that's what will make him want her. That is until she meets Maverick Cage. One of the many scenes I loved in this book happened when they're all sitting around at breakfast and Remy looks at a text message Miles sent to Reese...

'"Get a man will balls, Reese." I tuck my phone away. "Men with balls scare me." "Not a real man. A real man hands them over."'

Oh Maverick...what an enigma you are. He's handsome and an alpha male because he's had to be. He's as drawn to Reese as she is to him. The thing is though, she doesn't want Remy, Brooke and the team to find out she's "seeing" him because he could be Remy's competition. I especially loved when she spent time in the park with Racer and with Maverick too because it's where they could relax, talk and have this fire burning inside them ignited.....

Maverick is a boxer trying to find a coach because he wants to fight Remy for the title. He has a problem though, he can't find any coach to work with him because of who he is....Read more ›

Reese is spending some time with Brooke and Remy in hopes of finding herself. She's quiet and shy and she's trying to get a guy from back home to notice her as more than a friend. She gets someone to notice her alright. Maverick "The Avenger" Cage. When she lies to get him into the gym she is working out in the two sort of become friends. Maverick is determined to be the next champion of the Underground. Every door is slammed in his face once people realize just whose blood is running through his veins. But Mav doesn't give up. He's ready to take on anyone who stands in his way, including Remington "Riptide" Tate. There's just one problem. The girl he's falling for is none other than the cousin of Tate's wife. Will Mav get the girl, beat the one and only Riptide and become the next legend? I guess you'll have to read to find out!

OMG you guys! This is seriously so good! I could not put it down. I was invested from the start. I didn't think it was possible to love anyone more than I loved Remy but Maverick stole my heart! So he's mine and I'm keeping him.

He was cocky and confident. He backed down from no one. He let no one intimidate him, not even Remy. No matter how many doors slammed in his face, he never gave up.

I found Reese to be so relatable. She was shy and quiet and just plain awesome. She had a heart of gold.

I'll be honest, I had no idea what to expect and I was nervous. I thought how is Katy going to pull this off and get us to love Mav, especially when he's going up against Riptide but she did it.

I love the Real series but Legend will go down as my favorite one in the series.
