I like the book, but you have to realize it is a bit old and a lot of dog parks are build since this book came out. It still is a good book for hikes, but make sure you also look them up over the internet, in case something changed since 2003.

Everything is on leash! When I go to buy one of these books I want to know where I can take my dog so she can run free. This had very few off leash hikes. Almost every other hiking book will tell you if dogs are allowed so this had very little added value. It was also poorly organized.
