At 70+ years of age I feel that continueing to learn and keeping your mind active is an essiential part of a healthy life. Still in college and continueing my studies of Art and Artists I found this book on the life and works of Viola Frey an outstanding addition to my library. Not being able to find books like this at local bookstores, Amazon has become my go to source.

Format: Hardcover
Viola Frey began her life work in ceramics but became a painter, sculptor and photographer, blending her mediums and finding inspiration in flea-market castoffs and curiosities. She made a name for herself, artistically and politically, in Northern California's art community during the later part of the 20th century and is famous for her large-scale figures blending pop culture icons and art. This monograph accompanies a Racine Art Museum exhibition but stands alone well as a powerful tribute to Frey's diverse achievements.
