I specifically purchased this book to help me find the source of an oil leak in my wifes 2006 VW Beetle convertible. The car has a 2.5L 5 Cyl with an annoying oil leak above the oil filter area. Because this area is 100% beyond anyones ability to even see it I can only deduct it is coming from the oil cooler area. There is absolutely not one single mention, picture or diagram of the oil cooler and filter housing assembly. The coverage of the 2.5L engine is absolutely useless. It seems they added 3 pages on the 2.5L engine and relabeled the book. In addition there are no mentions on the convertible top system. If you are looking for a good thorough book for a beetle DONT BUY THIS ONE.

This is the worst repair book I have ever bought.
Does not include my engine even though front page says that it covers Diesel engines. I guess the don't know that beetle had two types of diesel.
If you want to service your DSG transmission don't even bother to look inside. Book says something like : "transmission is very complicated device and will not be covered in tis book" What a pile of @$@#%%%
Like I said it is very bad repair book.

Haynes has been around for years, and this manual has everything you need to repair your Beetle. Lots of good pictures and extensive electrical schematics. Nifty shortcuts and good detail will save you time on most repairs.

I ordered the manual for convertible model this book is useless. Nothing under the hood matches. I might as well asked for a Ford manual. It was shipped early enough
