I bought this book while in Hawaii and immediatly made three dishes. All were wonderful. Not only did I love them, but my kids did too. Fancy finding a salad dressing that will get a six-year-old to gobble up his salad!!. The Huli Huli Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork are worth the price of the book. I am so impressed that I will buy another Sam Choy cookbook. By the way, his restaurant in Kona is great as well!

I've lived in the Hawaiian Islands for more than 40 years and Sam's book is one of the best for Island food. He focuses on popular local recipes, demystifies the ingredients and delivers a great meal. Couldn't ask for a better guide to Hawaii's cuisine. I've given this book to many friends and finally had to order one for myself because I'd given away my last copy and couldn't find the ginger chicken recipe we love so much. Thanks to Sam, anyone anywhere can make a quick and easy culinary visit to the Islands without leaving home.

Didn't find any recipes in here for my luau party. Disappointing really, and nothing I'd make in future in here. Found better Luau recipes online. Sorry but would not recommend. Another cookbook collecting dust.
