Our church circle group is just finishing this book. Most of the women thoroughly enjoyed the lessons. There were a few who found it a frustrating change from our "normal" types of lessons. We are almost ready to begin The Really Bad Girls of the Bible by the same author. These books are interesting and have a really (and sometimes fun) different take on the same old stories,

To get the most out of Bad Girls of the Bible you need to do the work book. I learned so much more from the workbook than the book. I recommend all women read the book and do the work book.

Our Women's Study group has been using this very delightful and insightful book for the last month and we are delighted with Higgs' fresh approach to these "bad girls" whom we often overlook. To a person, we have laughed, cried, been shocked and amazed, and most importantly, been enlightened as we have studied. We are probably going to do the sequel, "Really Bad Girls" when we finish this one!

If you are anything like me, you have your favorite women and men in the Bible that truly inspire you to strive to become more faithful in your Christian walk. I know for myself, I wish I could give up my "Martha" of having to have everything just right, and become more like "Mary", learning to sit at the feet of Jesus.

Well did you know that there is just as much we can learn by looking at the lives of the "Bad Girls" of the Bible too? Liz Curtis Higgs does a splendid job of combining modern day stories of women, and then retelling verse by verse the biblical version of "Bad Girls" just so we can learn from them.

In the book, "Bad Girls of the Bible" you will be engaged with Eve right from the very beginning. This book is one you will not want to put down. You will learn whether these women were "Bad to the Bone," Bad for a Season, but Not Forever" or only "Bad for a Moment."

Liz says,"Women are physical, emotional, and spiritual in nature, and all three areas have their weak spots. The study guide companion to Liz Curtis HIggs' 'Bad Girls of The Bible' is well a composed blend of scriptural study and life application. The reader is invited to 'connected the dots' by providing biblical background for each of the subjects, leading up to the reader drawing her own conclusion as to 'what does that mean in my life right now'.
The chapter divisions allow for weekly studies with a reasonable amount of 'homework' for today's busy woman. Small group leaders may even want to consider allowing 2 weeks for each chapter as the subject matter is sure to bring up discussion amongst the participants. Over all a very delightful, insightful, and applicable study.

Oh my stars......if you have never read Liz Curtis Higgs you are missing out!!! Bad Girls of the Bible is outstanding! The fictional story at the beginning of each Bad Girl, just sucks you in, you can see her, hear her...Oh my stars....you know her!!! Bad to the Bone, Bad for a Season, or Bad for the moment...we all have been there. Lizzy helps us to learn from these women, to love these women and to grow from these women. There are not many Bible studies about women for women and Liz Curtis Higgs brings it to us!! My Sunday School Class is starting this study and we are very excited. Read this awesome book and then decided.....are you Bad to the Bone, Bad for a Moment or Bad for a Season?????????????????

This is a great companion to the book. Although there are questions in the book, this goes into much greater depth and,therefore, greater insight into each of these women. I highly recommend, even if it is only used by the leaders of the study to offer more insight and knowledge.

It is fascinating how it relates to the Bible in regard to "Bad Girls" in the past and present reactions to sin in today's world. Helps make it much clearer without harming the original stories from the Bible. It is written in today's language and is very easy to understand.
