Candid Conversations with Connie is a fantastic read for a tween girl. “Connie” discusses important topics like connecting with God, recognizing God-given talents, communicating with parents, and making friends. It also gives practical advice on making good choices, living healthy, and understanding emotions.

My daughter found the stories funny and interesting, and I appreciated that it was written in a tween voice that she could relate to. Discussion questions were implemented into each chapter.

I also love that my daughter could share this with her friends who aren’t familiar with Adventures in Odyssey. Although it’s fun for the fans to get some back story on their favorite characters, it’s just as engaging and entertaining for girls who aren’t Odyssey listeners.

My daughter loved doing this with a group of friends, but I think it would work just as well as a mother-daughter study, or for a girl to read on her own. The questions make it interactive and thought-provoking.
