DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! The narrator is boring! The books he narrates are CLASSICS but he reads so matter-of-factly that it is sickening! He lacks a thorough appreciation for such classics and it comes across in his reading of the material. He whizzes through them as if he is reading a textbook! Surely something can be gained for newcomers who listen to the CDs, however, if you have previously read the Classics and wanted an audio version for enjoyment or reinforcement of the material, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I was looking for something motivational and this nearly put me to sleep. While one can pick up some good points from the stories, I wouldn't recommend this if you have a short attention span and seek something with some action.

I never thought of giving self-help as gift before, but now I realize that it can be one of the best, most appreciated gifts you ever give. Who isn't going to thank you forever for helping them change their life??

This collection is a great place to start. Not only does it feature eight different books by eight different authors in a strikingly handsome package, but the books are among the wisest ever published. `As a Man Thinketh' has always been a favorite of mine; listening to it again reminds me just how much it has influenced a lot of the self-help authors on the bestseller list today. `The Science of Getting Rich' is another classic that can truly help you change the way you think of yourself and your prosperity-to measurably wonderful results. And while I've seen many references to `The Magic Story' and `Message to Garcia' over the years, I've never actually read or listened to either one of them; now I can't wait to share them with others. And the list goes on.

This package proves that powerful ideas never go out of style. And when they are presented in such fine fashion as this deluxe package of wonderful recordings, they can have as big an impact as they did 100 years ago.
