In 1964, after graduating from High School, he joined the U.S. Navy to see the world and escape his small part of it. In 1968, he returned to Vermont, where he worked as a truck driver while attending night classes. He took his first full-time computer job that summer and in 1974 he moved to Houston, Texas, where he worked as a Systems Analyst for 30 years. In 1995, he returned to motorcycle riding after a 20-year hiatus from the road.

I love motorcycling and anything that has to do with them. This book is one of the most interesting and enjoyable pieces of reading material I have read in some time. Not only does the author have stunning writing ability, but he is witty also, which keeps everything from becoming repetitious. Whether you travel on two wheels all of the time or planning your first adventure, read this book. It will help you with your planning and your choices of destinations. Even if you don't ride, but like that "Then Came Bronson" era, you'll want more as you explore each chapter.
