Whew! What can be said about Brenda's latest novel wherein she introduces us to Chase Jenkins. If you've read Brenda's Naughty Series, you know all about her writing skills and the feelings she can evoke i.e., I need a shower, where is my husband and have mercy (just to name a few of my thoughts) - Remember Jaylin?. Well, Chase is the female version of the younger Jaylin. Only difference is WOMEN tend to have an upfront attitude that says "BEWARE, I'm a Diva, I'm Hot, Even If You Don't Know It - Your Man Does and Who Cares If You Don't Like Me." Although, Brenda does give you an idea of why Chase is the way she is and you can honestly sympathize with her, that will be quickly replaced with anger, shouting or just sitting and shaking your head. Chase is bold, nothing or no one is off limits and honestly she is a B@#$%! Just when you think you have things figured out Brenda throws in a serious curve ball. The story is engaging and you will not want to put the book down! Unfortunately, the story will end or will it? Enjoy.

Just as with her previous titles, Brenda Hampton infuses her newest novel with a healthy dose of drama and sex. "Don't Even Go There" introduces readers to Chase Jenkins, a woman who knows what she wants and has no problem taking it, even from someone else. But her attitude and her actions quickly lead her to drama and possibly trouble.

Hampton offers an ambitious novel. Still, this reader was disappointed. Readers are made privy to some happenings in the main character's past as an explanation to her actions/attitude, but the surface is only scratched. Unfortunately, she was a character I couldn't fully embrace, either way. "Don't Even Go There" is a quick read as the pages are literally laced with drama. But it's that same drama that at time undermines the story.

Brenda Hampton is an extraordinary talent, and having read all her previous work, I found this one lacked a bit of luster in comparison. That said, I'm looking forward to her next novel.

Don't Even Go There by Brenda Hampton is the story of Chase Jenkins. She is a
beautiful, conniving, troublemaking woman. She is the type of woman you hate to
have around your man because that one second you turn your back, Chase will make
her move. The more unavailable the man, the better.

There is a woman at work who is happily engaged to a very sexy man. As soon as
Chase lays eyes on him, she is determined to make him hers. Not to mention when
she lays eyes on her boss' husband, the very fine, older, sexy gentleman who has
a swag, instantly wets Chase's panties. The question is will she get what she
wants? Or will she get more than she bargained for?

Don't Even Go There by Brenda Hampton was an okay read...although it is laced
with drama from the very first page it lacks the substance of Ms. Hampton's
previous novels. I would have liked to see more in-depth information on Chase's
character to really help me understand why she was the vindictive person she
portrayed herself as. Also, the synopsis tells the overall story in a nutshell,
so the story itself was a bit predictable. Regardless, Ms. Hampton's Naughty
series remains one of my favorite series and I will continue to read and support
Ms.Hampton's future novels.

....You'll be glad you did. This book was fun. I liked Chase in this book. Not as bad as I expected her to be at all by the description of her being compared to Jaylin. Also, bc I've read about her as a secondary character in another book & as a character in Hell House I had pre-judged her & didn't care for her. This book changed my opinion of her. Great drama, great sex & fast paced read. I hope there will be a part 2. I definitely look forward to reading more about Chase.

Brenda Hampton scores another page turner with "Don't Even Go There". In this novel we meet Chase Jenkins, Chase is single, sexy and she takes no mess from anyone. Chase always has a "Plan B" just in case things do not go her way. When she catches her man Drake cheating, she gets her revenge on him.

Chase will get what she wants and she offers no aplogies for her actions. Her co-worker Claudette's man Korey is not off limits either, and Chase needs new "meat" after kicking Drake to the curb . Chase has no problem getting it in with Korey at night and then seeing Claudette the next day at work. After Chase meets her boss Liz's hubby Steven at a Christmas party, she decides he is the new flavor of the week that she just has to taste. Drama soon takes over as Chase's games with Korey and Steven and their women just might come back to haunt her....

Looking forward to a sequel with Chase and I can't wait to see what she has planned in the next book!! 5 stars!!

Does Jaylin have a sister? This female was so realistic I found myself talking aloud to her as if she were actually in the room. Ms. Hampton has penned another great read. And you just know there will be a sequel by the ending. Had I known that I would've waited to read it. No matter, I purchased the e-book version so it will be easy to refresh myself when the time comes.

This was one bad woman and I would not befriend someone like this for any amount of money ;-)
Way to go Ms. Hampton.
