My grandparents all came from County Kerry, Ireland so I could relate to much in the book. This is a well written compilation of the stories of many wise and successful Irish women. It took me back to the tea pot and kitchen chats at my grandmother's house and many of the witticisms I heard there in my youth.

I would recommend this book to all women but especially young women beginning their journey. This is almost a primer for life and imparts a great deal of direction and encouragement. The book was a joy for me to read and I sent a copy to each of my red headed granddaughters.

This is a great collection of stories that will inspire and motivate you. It is amazing what these women have accomplished. The book is easy to read with many inspirational and amazing short stories. I wish more books like this were published. What a great project.

I couldn't put this book down. Each story gave me such inspiration and made me really think about where my family came from. Whether you're Irish, Italian, German...male, female...you must read this book! It made me think about how my ancestors have been such a great influence on me. This is the perfect gift for anyone, and a book that you will want to read again and again. I will defnitely treasure it forever. Can't wait to see what these authors come up with next!

I am not a woman of Irish American heritage, so I almost didn't pick this book up. But I am so glad I did! The stories that the women tell in this book speak to the human experience that we all share. The theme of this book is Irish wisdom, yes, but I would propose that it has a second theme as well -- that women have stores of strength and power that we tap into during our most trying of times. I bought three more books as gifts for friends!

Through the personal journeys of these women, including their hardships, struggles, and joys, we are provided with a wonderful collection of inspiring and motivating stories. There are so many stories that everyone can relate to in this book, and it provides you with a reminder of the many important things in your life. The stories are quick to read but each carry very important messages. It is a wonderful book!

A great collection of powerful stories. Each one of this books inspireing stories has a great take away message that everyone can learn from. This book is a real page turner. Once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down. This book is also great because you can pick it up read a few stories and easily pick up where you left off after taking a break.

I was drawn to this book because of my Irish roots...and what a pleasant experience! The women depicted in this book are true heros and great role models. I believe their journey and wisdom can be shared with anyone of any race. They make me proud to be Irish! I will definitely give the book as a gift for my daughter, mother, sisters and close girl friends...a book to be truly cherished!
